Job, work, kids, school, the continuous pressure of doing well…we all deal with our own fair share of stress every day. It is easy for people to ask you to relax and take it easy, but one can seldom do that. So it is better to unwind after a long day, rather than waiting for the weekend or that holiday to make yourself feel better. At the end of the day, all you need is to rest, reset and restart for a new day and conquer the world. Here a few pointers, to help you destress:
1. Eat your favourite food – This goes without saying, eating your favourite or comfort food can make you feel so much better.
2. Have a shower! – A long hot shower after a hardworking day, make you feel so much better and helps you sleep peacefully too. Using a good essential oil product in the shower helps too.
3. Sleep – Sometimes sleep is all you need, so grab that blanket and get cosy and complete your 8 hours of sleep. It will make you feel refreshed the next day.
4. Meditate – It actually really helps a lot. Light a candle and meditate for a few minutes, you are definitely going to feel so much better, it unclouds your mind and helps you feel so much better.
5. Journal – Keep a notebook and write down your feelings. It’s like talking to a friend and you feel like you have shared your stress and helps you align your thoughts.
Pamper yourself – Set the mood, light a few candles and give yourself a massage using a stress relief oil or just play your favourite music and put on a face mask. Pampering yourself is going to make you feel so much better about yourself.
7. Read – Switch off your phone or put it on flight mode and read a few pages of a book, it gives you time away from your phone and is the perfect de-stress after being surrounded by devices all day.
